Speaker Bios:
Charity Stewart: Having been part of the YMCA family for over a decade as a Personal Trainer, Charity also has a background in Clinical Exercise Physiology across all populations as well as non-profit development and leadership. The YMCA has played a pivotal role in her growth both as an employee as well as a person. Developing wellness programs with an emphasis on making wellness accessible to the community is a key part of her experience that she brings to the Workplace Wellness program.

Kayleigh Kriss: Kayleigh started as the Membership Director for the North Canton YMCA in September of 2021. She joined the Workplace Wellness team in 2022 and enjoys helping employers in Stark County offer opportunities to their employees to become healthier. Prior to working at the Y she was at WHBC/Mix 94.1 as the midday on-air personality and music director and was also very involved in community events throughout her years at the radio station.

Session Description:

Christie will be discussing the Columbia Protocol, what it is, and how HR professionals can use it in their professional life to assess if employees may be at risk for suicide.

Speaker Bios:
Christie Peeper: Christie has been a Human Resources professional for over 20 years. She has a BS in Human Resources and an MBA from Lindenwood University. Christie was a charter member of the local SHRM chapter in St Charles Missouri and is a member of the 2024 SCHRA board of directors. In her personal life Christie is a lifelong member of the American Legion Auxiliary and is currently serving as the State Chairman for the Auxiliary Emergency Fund for the second year. Christie is a certified presenter of the Columbia University Lighthouse Project to prevent Veteran Suicide.
