Session Description:
August is Child Support Awareness Month. Stark County SHRM is proud to support the Stark County Child Support Enforcement Agency and the important work it does for local families, employees and employers. In this virtual session, employers will learn about income withholding requirements; Ohio new-hire reporting and employee terminations; lump-sum reporting; electronic child support payments; medical support notices; frequently asked HR questions; strategies for sensitive employee conversations; resources and contacts for additional assistance.
Attendees will gain practical guidance to help your organization meet its responsibilities and navigate child support matters confidently.
Ann McGill Bio:
Ann McGill, MBA has been in the Child Support Program since 2014 and currently serves as the Deputy Director of Child Support. Ann has been with the agency since 2002, and previously worked in the Children Services and Support Services/Administration areas of Stark County JFS.
Ann received a Bachelor’s degree in English and a Master’s of Business Administration degree from Kent State University.
Ann is also a member of the Stark County Fatherhood Coalition and serves on committees for the Ohio Child Support Professionals Association and the National Child Support Enforcement Association.
Brian Brown Bio:
Brian Brown is currently the Program Administrator for the Stark County Child Support Enforcement Agency (CSEA). He has been employed at Stark County CSEA for 17 years and has also held the positions of Child Support Case Manager, Enforcement Supervisor, and Project Manager for the Right Path for Fathers program. During his time at child support, he has sat on committees that include the Community Initiative to Reduce Violence (CIRV), Stark County Citizen’s Circle, Stark Reentry Coalition, Stark County Fatherhood Coalition, and the Ohio Child Support Employer Outreach Committee. Brian earned a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from Malone University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from the University of Akron.
